The National Harbor bills itself as an experience, not a destination and that is exactly true; It's an amazing place to shoot. I was fortunate enough to experience it with a dynamic Bride & Groom, Ashley and Larry. From the moment we arrived we were smiling, laughing and having fun...it felt so easy and natural, just as Ashley and Larry are. We captured some one of a kind images, like in front of the Gaylord ' s National Harbor Resort & Convention Center. Their romance was celebrated there by a soft exhale of the sunset radiating inside out of the Glass Pavilion of Gaylord's while Ashley and Larry shared a tender moment. Such a great couple to share the day with as they were so animated and easy to work with. The entire shoot was relaxing and easy and I honestly enjoyed photographing Ashley and Larry.
Wow...i had the most "feel good" engagement shoot with Lindsey and Joe a couple of days ago. I had just as much fun reliving the moments while editing the photos; I just sent them to the Bride and Groom :). We started outside with beautiful weather and the shoot got even better when it started to rain. Lindsey and Joe were amazing, embraced the rain and showed what love can do. One of the perks of being a photographer is the people I get to meet, interact with and get to know on a personal level. Not surprising is that it's learning a little about each person that allows my camera to accentuate their story. Lindsey and Joe met at Wallace Presbyterian Church. Lindsey grew up attending Wallace Presbyterian and Joe started attending the church while studying electrical engineering at the University of Maryland. Lindsey is studying for her Master's Degree in Social Work there and Joe is now an Electrical Engineer in Silver Spring, Maryland. They were destined to meet and when u get to know them you can see that it works with them for all the right reasons and one important fundamental; they share a love of Jesus and want to share that with each other and everyone they touch. This engagement shoot was an awesome time!!
